Description

DCL compact marine electric actuators are designed for compatible ball valves, butterfly valves and three-way valves in shipboard cooling and temperature-regulation systems. Typical applications include freshwater, seawater and lubricating-oil circuits serving generator sets, diesel engines and turbine equipment.

The quarter-turn design provides ISO 5211 mounting interfaces for compatible valves. Modulating configurations receive control commands and move the valve to the required opening. The product literature specifies a basic positioning error of no more than ±1% and a repeatability error of no more than 1%. Actual temperature-control performance also depends on valve flow characteristics, sensors, control logic and system load.

The compact aluminum-alloy housing supports integration into marine equipment packages. Enclosure protection, coating, manual operation and electromagnetic compatibility should be confirmed for the selected model to match humidity, salt exposure and shipboard power conditions. For seawater circuits, valve-body materials, internal components and seals require a separate media-compatibility assessment.

DCL participated in drafting Chinese standards for marine electrically controlled butterfly valves and ball valves. Any classification-society approval should be verified against the valid certificate for the complete supplied valve assembly. Approvals held by customer valve assemblies should not be presented as certification of the actuator alone.
