The DCL-10 fail-safe electric actuator is designed for industrial processes where a valve must move to a defined safety position after external power is lost. The actuator operates from DC24V and charges an internal supercapacitor during normal service.

When the control circuit detects a loss of external power, stored energy drives the valve to a preset fully open, fully closed or current position. The documentation specifies enough stored energy for at least four full-stroke operations. When power returns, the actuator automatically exits fail-safe mode and resumes normal operation.

The standard configuration provides 100 Nm output torque with a 30-second operating time and a listed maximum torque of 130 Nm. A 15-second/50 Nm configuration is also available. Adjustable 0–90° travel and ISO 5211 F05/F07 mounting support compatible ball valves, butterfly valves and other quarter-turn valves.

On-off and modulating configurations are available. Modulating versions support 4–20 mA input and output, with optional 2–10 VDC, 1–5 VDC and Modbus RTU. IP67 is standard, IP68 is optional, and the stated ambient-temperature range is -25°C to +55°C.

This design uses a supercapacitor to power the motor and is not a mechanical spring-return actuator. The required safety position, operating time, valve torque and control sequence must be confirmed before ordering.
