DCL-GEY series DC powered modulating electric actuators use DC brush motor and self designed full potted control pack with outstanding EMC performance. Compared to DC brushless motor driving electric actuators, GEY series’ motor are more economical, but can reach flexible start and stop, high overload performance and low temperature rise.
DCL can add standard handwheel to its electric actuators, both for common type or explosion proof type. To ensure the safety of manual handling, an emergency power off button is also available to avoid mistake operation. The power off button is on the back of actuator and very easy to reach. Sometimes, we can not confirm the actuator is powered or not, we just press the button. Commonly the handwheel is disconnect states with worm gear, when press handwheel in, it connects to worm gear and can drive the output drive and valve.
O-ring for power off button keeps whole actuator IP67 weather proof, protect against dust and water. 100% underwater sealing test during production to make sure every actuator can meet IP67 sealing grade.
DCL-GEY series are now doing CSA certification per UL/CSA standard and will pass all tests on Q1 2021. GEY types are cost saving options of low voltage DC regulation electric actuators.
