Product Features

Product Description

The DCL explosion-proof quarter-turn electric actuator is designed for valve automation in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, metallurgy and other industrial environments where flammable gases or combustible dust may be present. The range includes models from DCL-Ex05 to DCL-Ex300, with standard output torque from 50 to 3000 Nm.

The series is suitable for automating ball valves, butterfly valves, plug valves and other rotary valves. Its IP68 enclosure has a stated ambient-temperature range of -25°C to +55°C. ATEX/IECEx markings and North American Class I, Division 1 configurations are available for projects requiring hazardous-location compliance.

Control options include on-off operation, passive-contact feedback, resistance feedback and modulating position control. Modulating versions accept 4–20 mA, 1–5 VDC or 2–10 VDC commands and provide 4–20 mA valve-position feedback. The specified basic error is no more than ±1%, and repeatability error is no more than 1%.

Optional over-torque protection can interrupt the motor circuit when a jammed valve causes torque to reach a preset limit. An optional stored-energy fail-safe module can move the valve to a predefined open, closed or current position after power loss. Certification, voltage, operating time, control mode and optional functions must be confirmed for the selected model.
