Description

All DCL electric actuators are equipped with specially formulated copper alloy worm gears. Unlike conventional gears that only feature a surface copper plating, DCL’s worm gears are one-piece castings crafted entirely from bronze alloy—this integrated design substantially boosts overall structural strength and wear resistance.
In electric actuators, the final-stage worm or spur gear is typically the most vulnerable component. Directly connected to the output shaft, it bears the maximum torque and friction, meaning its durability directly dictates the actuator’s service life. To address this critical point, DCL has engineered a larger-diameter worm gear with an extended radius. This design effectively reduces the force exerted on each gear tooth under the same torque load, and when combined with the full-bronze alloy construction, it delivers exceptional reliability and prolonged service life.
Additionally, gear runout has a significant impact on both transmission noise and mechanical lifespan. DCL’s dedicated Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team implements rigorous incoming quality control for all components. Every housing cover, bearing, gear, and electronic part undergoes thorough inspection prior to warehousing, ensuring consistent performance and long-term durability across the entire range of DCL electric actuators.
